Three fishermen, who have returned from America with some savings, decide to try fishing with a motor boat. The initiative is hindered by the skepticism of local fishermen and the obstinacy of the owner of an old vessel, who does not want to give it up to the three friends. However, they still manage to set sail and do excellent fishing; but, on the way back, the old steam boilers cannot resist and the ship is wrecked. Terrified by the disaster, which cost the life of a sea-loving child who smuggled aboard with them, the three would like to give up; but it is the little victim's mother who, mindful of her little one's enthusiasm, helps them overcome every difficulty and organize motor fishing with a beautiful vessel.
