Francisco Varone

Biography

Francisco Varone is an Argentine film director. He was born in 1978 in Buenos Aires. He began his career in 2000 as an assistant director. As a director he made more than 100 commercials, with which he obtained important awards, including three Lions in Cannes, the Clio and the Golden Sun in San Sebastián. Between 2008 and 2010 he participated in Pablo Solarz's scriptwriting workshops. He studied playwriting with Mauricio Kartún, Ignacio Apolo and Ariel Barchilón. During 2010 he studied screenwriting with Juan José Campanella and Aída Bortnik. He currently works as a film scriptwriter. In 2016 he released the first feature film with commercial release Camino a La Paz.
