Carlos Aziz Nader (São Paulo, 1964) is a Brazilian documentary filmmaker. He won the award for best documentary at the É Tudo Verdade festival three times, in 2008, 2014 and 2015. He first became known as a video artist in the 80s and 90s, when he also won important awards in the field, including the Videokuntspreis in Germany. Experimenting with languages, Nader made films with a strong essayistic appeal. Concerned with the complexity of contemporary Brazilian culture, he investigated anonymous characters, personalities and artists. Among its main themes are the question of identity, the sensation of time and the relationship between man and the camera.
