Rafi starts the day like every day with coffee from a French press. But from now on nothing will be like before.

The antiquarian entrusts Rafi with a task and he fulfills it in his own unconventional way. At the same time, he meets Marta, who sacrificed her literary career for her husband. He also goes to Karolina's foundation and sees that her neighbor Melka is trying to organize the life of Zoja, who ran away from her family home. Thanks to the involvement of his curator, Rafi mobilizes all his strength and even exudes empathy. Thanks to this, both Marta and Zoja have a chance to change their lives. The problem is that Rafi sometimes prefers to throw a tennis ball instead of saying what needs to be said. Regardless of the consequences.

After a heavy libation with his friend Szmajka, Rafi manages to save a package of coffee from a thief. Unfortunately, Elwira the owner of the coffee shop does not show him any gratitude. Rafi is even more affected because he lost his wallet. But he doesn't have time to think about it he has to take care of his wife Aśka's little son Szmajka. He fails to sell the baby to their mutual friend Maras, because he is getting ready for the race of his life. Krystyna, although she hates giving hints to anyone, slightly influences Rafi to find a mysterious briefcase with documents in the park. An attempt to decipher its contents with Melka's help makes him realize that the friends he accidentally met from the park did not quarrel for financial reasons and that the coffee thief is not a bandit, but a man from whom fate has deprived him of a chance in life. Then a mysterious motorcyclist, Lilly, appears in Rafi's path.

Melka saves a stranger, an elderly man, from an accident. It turns out that he is a nice, although very lonely Marian. Melka and Rafi come up with an idea to meet him with their neighbor Lucyna, who is also retired. Karolina has serious problems with her teenage son because Grześ feels rejected by his father. Rafi, who has never experienced parental love, helps take care of Grześ and even gets involved in repairing the son-father relationship. When he returns home late in the evening, his creditors remind him of his debts. He gets hit hard and loses consciousness. Lilly saves him from trouble. Or at least that's what he thinks.

Rafi is looking for Lilly. He wants to thank her for saving his life. He feels important. After all, someone cares about him. He spends hours scouring social media, driving around town, and asking about Lilly with such intensity that even his friends laugh a little at it. Lilly knows that Rafi has lost his mind over her and is watching the situation from afar. Meanwhile, Melka begins to react allergically to his admiration for an unknown motorcyclist. Krystyna thinks that she and the Antiquarian should give up on Rafi and focus on someone else. However, Dariusz has a weakness for him. All the more so because he sees the good heart of Rafi, who got involved in the search for a stand-up comedian who won the competition for the best performance and suddenly disappeared.

Melka is less and less pleased with Rafi's admiration for Lilly. While Rafi becomes more and more attracted to Lilly, she lends him a large sum of money to pay off his debts. Unfortunately, Lilly's former fiancé, Sven, appears in her life. Rafi has doubts whether Krystyna really exists or is just a figment of his imagination. Rafi's behavior causes his friends to worry about his health as he talks to himself more and more often. Finally, he is convinced by Maras and Szmajka to get checked out, especially since everything points to a brain tumor. However, before Rafi goes to the doctor, he takes care of 19-year-old Wika, who ran away from home where she was molested by her stepfather and thought she would find safe shelter and money by working at the Go-Go club.

Rafi anxiously waits for the test results. Facing death, he even goes to church to talk to the priest he met in the hospital. But it will quickly turn out that the priest is in bigger trouble, because he has to face the consequences of what he did before joining the seminary. And it will be Rafi who will help him make the most important decision in his life. Meanwhile, Artur and Lilly, who is in cahoots with him, are working hard to win the bet with Dariusz. Melka returns to nightmares from the past and the feeling of guilt for causing someone's death. He also cannot forget about Rafi, who fell in love with Lilly. But Swen won't give her up without a fight.
Lilly offers Rafi a job at her club he is to become a manager. Delighted with this proposal, Rafi boasts about it left and right, but neither Melka nor Dariusz shares his enthusiasm. Melka gives up she admits to Karolina that Rafi is not indifferent to her, but in her opinion it is too late for them to be together. He can't stand Lilly's presence especially the sounds of love and night raptures coming from behind the wall so he decides to look for a new place. Meanwhile, Szmajka and his wife go to the hotel for a real date, and Lilly is deeply torn between her love for Swen and her fear of Artur, who tells her to corner Rafi. When Swen finally wants to get Lilly back, tragedy strikes.

It's hard for him, but he doesn't despair he now has a more important task: he has to help Marian, Lucyna's beloved, who was hospitalized in the cardiology department. There he discovers that Marian's doctor, who is considered the Religion of the 21st century, is not at all the crystal man they think he is. On the contrary, he is ready to kill the patient. The scale of Rafi's feelings is slowly tipping towards Melka, so the vigilant Artur forces Lilly to act quickly enough.
